Agent Spotlight – Alejandra Conrow

The July agent of the month is Alejandra Conrow.

 

Alejandra Conrow has established a dependable and thriving insurance business, having become well-acquainted with selling Medicare, life, and ACA products. Entering her sixth year as an insurance agent, Alejandra is excited to soon embark on a role as a general agent (GA) and further expand her business. Additionally, her family members received inspiration from her accomplishments. Alejandra’s husband and son have begun insurance careers, and recently, her daughter has taken the Empower Brokerage licensing class to pursue a promising career. Success seems to be around every corner for the Rio Grande Valley agent, but every story has a beginning.

Six years ago, Alejandra was working full-time in the health and wellness industry as a gym owner. Her ambition to try something new led her to the insurance business. The idea of agents earning residual income also intrigued Mrs. Conrow. After a couple of years working in insurance, her friend Martha introduced her to Empower Brokerage. “Partnering up with Empower was a game changer because of the support,” says the Rio Grande Valley agent. Now in her fourth year partnering with Empower, Mrs. Conrow appreciates all that the organization has done for her, including employing regional sales directors from across the country to assist agents. “It’s very well structured. I like how they help and train you. I was not getting that anywhere else.” Empower Brokerage’s Claudia Howard, a regional sales director for the Rio Grande Valley, had a significant impact on Alejandra’s career. She credits Claudia for educating her about Medicare products and getting her started on the right path. Mrs. Conrow cherishes Claudia’s guidance and friendship, which has been a blessing. National Director of Business Development Monica Quintana has played a pivotal role in Alejandra’s professional growth. She cites Monica’s unwavering leadership and dedication as key factors that inspired her to begin partnering with Empower Brokerage. Furthermore, Alejandra praises Empower Brokerage’s free leads and advantageous partnerships that benefit agents. She is also grateful for Empower Brokerage’s Life Specialist Bertha Garcia, whose assistance remains invaluable. Working with Bertha has helped Mrs. Conrow deepen her knowledge of various life insurance companies, enabling her to present a range of suitable plans to her clients.

Having worked in the health and wellness field and continuing to work as an instructor, Alejandra certainly enjoys helping people and seeing clients improve their lives. So, becoming an insurance problem solver was a natural fit for her. She would have liked to start an insurance career earlier, but with her determination, Alejandra will surely continue excelling. One point of inspiration comes from a colleague who began selling insurance products in her mid-60s. Today, this colleague has “built an empire,” states Alejandra. Such perseverance can motivate everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

The Future and Advice for Others

Alejandra has set goals for herself. She wants to continue learning and growing as an agent and also wants to focus on growing her team the right way by ensuring they receive good training, just as others mentored her. She wants to be available for them to help them learn the insurance business. Family is very important to Alejandra, and since several have joined her team, she is thrilled to see them take the next step on their insurance journeys. Spending quality time with them means a lot to her as well. She also cherishes reading and staying active with running.

If she could offer advice to new agents, Alejandra would suggest that an agent’s triumph depends greatly on partnering with an exemplary FMO like Empower Brokerage. “It’s a great industry. You can build your own business,” explains Alejandra.
